Hall Closet Makeover

Just a few weeks ago I helped a client turn an unorganized unused hall closet into a family friendly mud room. Thought I would share where we are with it :) BEFORE AFTER Demo the space! We cleaned the closet out. The contractor took careful measurements. Starting from the bottom up, he knocked this closet remodel out of the park! Client now has a long bench to put the shoes on, and storage underneath to store them all! Its a deep closet so we took advantage of the depth and created basically bookcases on either side, with each shelf measuring 10" deep by 10" wide by 12" high. My client should never run out of space for gloves, sunglasses, keys, and a hundred other miscellaneous items! Hooks purchased in two sizes allows for a high row of hooks to hold heavy coats, and a lower level of hooks to hold things like purses, the dogs leash and kids coats. DIY Home Office Desk Skirt Hides Clutter

Does your desk look like this underneath? Looking for an instant way to hide your 'under desk' clutter? I have a small work space that sits in an awkward area and accumulates a lot of clutter and wires underneath. After staring at my crap long enough I decided it was time to conceal the mess-in a pretty way. This is great project for renters who have a work space they share with their living room or bedroom. My Morning Slip Cover Chair Project Using Remnant Fabric (no sewing needed!)

It snowed this morning so I had to cancel my client appointments, but I got to eat frosted flakes and make a chair cover in my owl pjs. It was a grrrrreat (per Tony the Tiger)!!! I didn't mean to do a DIY project but when I came across some Thomas Paul remnant fabric in my office a light bulb went off (bing!). I have 2 parson chairs that I was going to get slipcovered professionally but as I held the remnant pieces up and stared out the window at the snow I decided to see if I could have some fun doing it myself.
